What is Massive Drumz Kru?
MDK, also know as Massive Drumz Kru, is the name of a spanish drum and bass collective (from the city of Zaragoza, located between the cities of Madrid and Barcelona).
Their shows/sessions have a great and powerful energy, with an amazing performance in wich is included the rythm, the voice, and the visual experience; due to the collaboration of the Mdk’s Djs; Mdk’s Mcs and Mdk’s Vj. [The MDK have great reviews and references in some articles of the local and national press, electronic music magazines, spanish dnb webpages, and so on].
The musical influences of the crew are very different; from dark trip hop and downtempo, to hip hop, ragga, dub, breakbeat, and even punk and hardcore; (and of course, jungle and drum and bass music).
These influences can be appreciated in their shows, where you can find and listen all kind of drum and bass music; classic tunes, new tunes, liquid funk, raggajungle, jump up, hardstep, techstep…; it always depends on their own critery; the venue; the kind of party and the audience.
Actually the members of MDK are:
Blanca Abad aka Cinic: Female mc&vocalist; design and photography (founder member of MDK)
Ernesto Gerez aka Sirat: Dj; producer; mc (founder member of MDK)
Antonio Lombardo aka T-Line: Dj
Jose Luis aka Txu: Dj
Pablo Hijar aka Spartak: Vj; visuals; design and webmaster.
Some members of MDK (Sirat, Cinic, Pipa), also produce their own tunes of drum and bass music, hip hop, dub and downtempo; and it can be listened at certain times, when they introduce their material into their sessions, in conjunction with the designs and visuals that his Vj (Spartak) creates and applies.
MDK as a collective or a dnb crew, put all of their knowledge and hopes in the difussion of that kind of urban electronic music know as drum and bass.
This is street culture, street music, futurism, vibes, rhymes, visuals, drums, bass, energy, feelings… This is Massive Drumz Kru!
